HBH Member Update 6/23/14

Aroha!

Just a lil reminder... No rehearsal this Wednesday... Or next week... Or the following week... Or the week following the week after that... We'll be resuming rehearsals on July 23...

I'm having a hard time writing this. I have so many thoughts and feelings in my mind I don't know how to put into words. Plus I feel like I haven't written any English paragraphs in a while, just short sentences that I write on FB, so I haven't really been able to send out all the thank you mesgs that I want to... But I'm trying... =P

For those who went up to Japan, thank your for your hard work and for being a fun grp of ppl to be with. HBH is really abt harmony, friendship, music, peace, acceptance and more. The KBB members are really the ones we need to thank. Everyone went out of their way to ensure we were well cared for. They took us to many awesome places and helped us experience all kinds of cool stuff. I had a great time. I hope you all did too. I wish I could've said something in the end to them but I didn't know how to. The amount of stuff I'd like to thank them for overwhelm my mind and all I can come up with when I try to put it into words is, "I'm grateful." So I have yet to write them an official thank you.

To the HBH members who didn't come with us this trip. We didn't forget abt you. I brought you guys something super duper small. But as I'm writing this i just realized at the end of the sentence before this one that it probably won't keep until July 23. Heh. =( But I wanna do another trip. LOL. We'll plan it frm our side next time so it doesn't get so confusing. I got confused because my joint concert trip had to many joint joint joints.

Anyway... NO REHEARSALS UNTIL JULY 23!

And if anything I wrote doesn't make sense at all... You're probably right and I'm pretty certain it doesn't make sense at all. LOL.

Good luck to the HBH members heading off to Japan for the Koseto Brass and Woodwind Band 60th Anniversary Exchange Tour! It'll be a fun and exciting experience for all of us! Thank you and looking forward to it all. =)

Thank you and non-rehearsal reminder

Thank you for helping make our joint concert with KHAMB a fun and interesting one. I heard nothing but good comments. I guess that's good. Or everyone is just being nice. But it was a great experience for everybody.

Anyway... Due to the number of scheduled trips this summer, we have decided to give everyone a break frm rehearsals and restart on July 23 when everyone is back.

I think that's it. If I forgot something, pls don't hesitate to let me know. I won't be offended. I promise. =)

Thank you HBHers and KHAMB ppls! Had an awesome time playing music with both of you guys. =) It was a first time joint concert for us and I think both bands weren't sure of what to expect but everything turned out well. Thank you for being flexible and open to new experiences. LOL. Frm the feedback it seemed everyone I talked to had a great time. New contacts were made, food was good... All went well. Thank you again for your hard work!

HBH Member Update 2/7/14 and a Half!

Hi guys...

Got more info for you regarding March 8th at HKRC... We'll be playing for a March of Dimes fundraising event... Please let me know by Wednesday if you can make it or not. I need to let HKRC know before the end of the week if we can do it or not...

HBH Member Update 2/7/14

Hello all!

Yay! I'm back to sending more strange HBH member update emails again... Sorry, it's been a while...

Anyway, I was just thinking the other day that I should start looking for places to book... Then I found a mesg sent just an hour ago frm Hawaii Kai Retirement Community... See below...

Gina, your still very weird, forgot how to play clarinet but knows how to pick up dog poop quickly during rehearsal but can't pick up dog pee, HBH member update but more like random things even if the purpose of the mesg was to ask abt March 8th email sending HBH president.

Ugh. Why are they playing Polovetsian as the music for the Olympics opening story thingy???
